Days 1-2 – Fly to Seoul and connect through to Phnom Penh

Land in Seoul to a VIP meet and greet service and connect onto a flight to Phnom Penh, from where you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a private sunset river cruise which introduces you to the capital, where local bars and restaurants line the banks of the Mekong River.

Your accommodation: Villa Langka

Day 3 – Phnom Penh

This morning your private guide will take you to some of the highlights of Phnom Penh, including The Royal Palace and National Museum. This afternoon is an optional and sobering experience exploring the recent turbulent history of a nation virtually destroyed by civil war. Your private guide can take you to the Killing Fields outside Phnom Penh and also to the genocide museum, a stark reminder of the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge.

Your accommodation: Villa Langka

Day 4 – Fly to Siem Reap

This morning your guide will take you through the lively local markets before you continue to the airport. Your domestic flight to Siem Reap takes approximately an hour. On arrival you will have a private transfer to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax and unwind.

Your accommodation: Montra Nivesha

Day 5 – Roluos Group Temples & Kompong Pluk, Siem Reap

Driving several miles to the east of Siem Reap, we find one of the earliest capitals in the Angkor area, Hariharalaya, now known as Roluos. These temples are some of the earliest of the Angkor period, dating from the 9th century.

Travel to Kompong Pluk and board a small wooden boat. Cruising down a narrow waterway, you will enter the medieval floating village, where the houses stand atop stilts as much as seven metres above the water. Everything lives on the water, pigs, dogs, crocodiles and people, all jockeying for space in this incredible floating town. You’ll also have the opportunity to stop at a local floating café or restaurant amid the flooded forest before returning back to Siem Reap by road.

Your accommodation: Montra Nivesha

Day 6 – Kulen Elephant Forest & Beng Mealea, Siem Reap

Today's experience will begin in Kulen Elephant Forest’s 1,100-acre protected lands, where 14 elephants currently roam freely, with their mahouts. You will have the opportunity to walk with these gentle giants and even feed them by hand, whilst learning about their individual histories, and general facts about this iconic species. Lunch will be served in the forest, before the elephants enjoy their daily bathing in the river.

Travel on to the mysterious temple of Beng Melea. It was only 'opened' to visitors in 2002, after centuries of slow strangulation by the jungle, whose voraciousness is on full display. Occasionally you may stumble on some very fine carvings, sometimes in plain view, sometimes hidden in passageways off the main path.

Your accommodation: Montra Nivesha

Day 7 - Hidden Trails of Angkor, Banteay Srei and Cambodia Landmine Museum, Siem Reap

Explore some of the most impressive temples at Angkor on two wheels, taking advantage of back roads and jungle paths to get off the beaten path and experience much of the area without the crowds.

Wind your way past the walls of Banteay Kdei to the North Gate of Ta Prohm. The ‘jungle temple’ has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. Then cycle on to Ta Nei, a small temple that has been forgotten in the jungle and sees few visitors, before entering the immense walled city of Angkor Thom. You’ll spend time exploring the main temples of Angkor Thom, including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Preah Palilay, Terrace of the Leper King and Preah Pithu.

Head back out on to the trails to finish at Sras Srang, the ancient bathing pool of the kings. Here you will find Sala K'Dei, a wonderful Khmer style restaurant where you will enjoy a tasty lunch and cooling drinks after your ride. You will also get the chance to enjoy a relaxing foot massage while you wait for lunch to be served.

After lunch, you’ll be driven to Banteay Srei Temple showcasing intricate carvings on top of red sandstone. Later this afternoon you will be driven back to Siem Reap with a quick stop at the Landmine Museum en route.

Your accommodation: Montra Nivesha

Day 8 – Angkor Wat at sunrise & fly to Seoul

Make an early start for Angkor Wat, leaving your hotel around 5am. As dawn breaks and the sun rises above the central towers of Angkor Wat, its incredible size becomes apparent. Sunrise here, even with the crowds, is a mesmerising experience.

Break away from the crowds to enjoy a traditional breakfast within the Angkor Wat complex where you will receive a monk’s blessing and observe their morning rituals of chanting and meditation.

You’ll enter the main temple with your guide to explore it’s well-preserved carvings and impressive structure, believed to have been undertaken as a temple and mausoleum for King Suryavarman II at the peak of the Khmer Empire in the first half of the 12th century.

Once back at your hotel, you’ll have time to freshen up and enjoy lunch before heading to the airport to catch your flight to Seoul. You’ll be met in Seoul from where you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

Your accommodation: Lotte L7 Myeongdong

Day 9 – Private morning city tour of Seoul

Spend the morning seeing a couple of the highlights that Seoul has to offer. You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to either the Gyeongbokgung Palace in the North or Deoksugung Palace near to city hall depending on the day.

Next, head South past the impressive structure of Namdaemun or ‘Southern gate’. Nearby you have the lively Namdaemun market which is a great place to have lunch and explore the endless passageways. There are over 10,000 shops in the market selling everything from ginseng to fishing equipment.
