Most key locations offer a range of places to stay, but if traveling off the beaten track, accommodation is restricted to simple guesthouses and hotels. In the key locations of Yangon, Inle Lake, Bagan and Mandalay there are a number of beautiful boutique options but demand often outstrips supply.

A number of new hotels are planned over the coming years which should provide some healthy competition and stabilize the steadily increasing prices. We'll always try to organize for you to stay in one of our preferred properties but advise you to book at least 9 to 12 months in advance if accommodation choices are key to the enjoyment of your trip.
