Amira was lucky enough to be exposed to many cultures at a young age, which influenced her love of travel today. With her mother being from Morocco she had the chance to live in Rabat for a few years and return to visit family many times where she could practice her Arabic and explore the country.
Her love of cultures and people led to her earning a degree in Sociology from Boston University where she also played field hockey. During this time her family moved to the Netherlands where she spent her summers exploring Holland and neighboring European countries. Her family travel also brought her to Egypt, Dubai and Jerusalem.
Before joining Audley, Amira worked as a tour consultant organizing student tours all over the world, but decided to hone in on two countries she truly loves, Morocco and Egypt. With Audley Amira has returned to both countries.

I'll never forget when…
My most memorable experience is seeing the ancient pyramids of Giza and Dashur. Growing up I was fascinated by ancient Egyptian history and it had always been a dream to see the pyramids. The size of each block of stone was overwhelming let alone the astounding height of the pyramids themselves.
At Dashur I was able to climb up the steps of the Red Pyramid to climb into the entrance that led me inside. It was like nothing like I had ever experienced before and I felt like I had stepped back in time.
