This is a stylish and glamorous property, offering a deluxe base in the heart of Inverness. With only 11 rooms, the hotel isn’t large but each room is spacious and well appointed with modern amenities.

Although the Rocpool Reserve Hotel is only a ten-minute walk from the heart of the city, it has its own Chez Roux restaurant, managed by Michelin-starred chef Albert Roux, as well as a wrap-around cocktail bar, which serves a more casual menu. Both the bar and the restaurant have a terrace overlooking the river for outdoor dining in the summer months.

This is a wonderful option if you want style and luxury, while still being located within central Inverness.

Rooms

Rooms are spacious and equipped with all the modern amenities and technology. The names of the different room types — such as hip, chic, and decadent — give you some idea of the general style and decor present throughout the hotel; there’s an emphasis on modern comfort and simple elegance. The room types vary by size, each different in its layout, with some featuring internal stairs. The extra decadent rooms have their own sauna and hot tub. All rooms have a TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Location

Located above the river and the castle, the Rocpool Reserve Hotel is just a ten-minute walk from the heart of Inverness. From the hotel, it’s fairly quick to circumnavigate the city and head out either west toward Loch Ness or east toward Culloden, which is about a 15-minute drive away.

Food and drink

Rocpool Reserve Hotel has two dining options to give guests a choice of casual or more formal dining. Albert Roux manages the hotel restaurant, Chez Roux, which brings a French touch to Scottish ingredients. This serves an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner, as well as a set three-course menu. The R Bar also serves food, with an informal all-day menu. Staff are happy to recommend restaurants within Inverness.
