Charlotte Street Hotel

London, The UK

Situated in the heart of London's Fitzrovia district, Charlotte Street Hotel pervades a lively atmosphere from first sight, with tables from its excellent restaurant spilling out onto the street. Designed and decorated by owner Kit Kemp, the fabrics, wallpapers and soft furnishings throughout the hotel are bright and intricately detailed.

Each of the 52 rooms is attractively furnished in this same style, and have individual touches such as striking feature headboards or patterned mannequins. The library has comfortable furniture surrounding the open fireplace, while the lounge has an honesty bar, vibrant rugs covering the wooden floor and a large stone fireplace, making it a relaxing place to enjoy afternoon tea. Downstairs is a private cinema, which shows classics and recent releases over the weekends.

OUR OPINION:

This modern property's location, carefully designed decor and private cinema are all reasons that draw us to it, and we like the sociable atmosphere of its communal areas.
