The Inn at Mama's Fish House is a traditional Hawaiian property, featuring 12 guest cottages on Poho Place on the famous Hāna Highway.
It is located about one mile from the quiet Hawaiian town of Pa’ia and sits in a small coconut grove on a small beach.
OUR OPINION:
An Audley favourite. Although this property doesn’t have the wealth of facilities that many hotels on the western coast of the island have, it holds a traditional Hawaiian “Aloha” charm with its authentic plantation-style cottages on the beach — a hidden gem.

When you stay at the Inn at Mama’s Fish House you are stepping into an authentic, simple Hawaiian lifestyle. Each of the 12 condo styled cottage rooms are all slightly different and come in three sizes; studio, one and two bedrooms, and all are equipped with their own fully equipped kitchen. Dotted among the palm trees with hammocks strung between them, just steps from the beach, everything about the property invites you to relax and enjoy the simpler things in life.
Location
The Inn at Mama's Fish House enjoys the very best that Maui has to offer; it's an ideal base from which to explore the famous Road to Hāna and its own small beach is the perfect place to spend a lazy Hawaiian day. A short drive away along the Hāna Highway to the east is the Ho’okipa Beach Park, which is a famous spot for windsurfers and it is well worth investigating to see some local competitions.

Mama's Fish House Restaurant is famous throughout the Hawaiian Islands as one for the best options for fresh catch and traditional Hawaiian cuisine. Dinner is served in the relaxed wooden restaurant overlooking the ocean. A perfect romantic setting for honeymooners and for those wishing to get away from the larger restaurants and busy towns on the other side of the island. Guests at Mama’s Fish House are entitled to a 15% discount at the restaurant and bookings are essential.
