The St. Regis occupies a pastiche of a Parisian Beaux-Arts building, only with many more floors. Its lavish style and extensive facilities feel right at home in the fast-paced, dynamic capital of the South, where seeing and being seen is part of the attraction. The steamy weather typical of the Atlanta summer means most dining is inside the hotel in air-conditioned comfort, but the pool piazza serves chilled drinks and food designed to be eaten on a lounger and enjoyed after a swim.

The opulent design extends to the rooms, which are all spacious and well-equipped; ask for a room on the upper floors for views toward downtown’s skyscrapers.

OUR OPINION:

The St. Regis is a large, stylish and polished hotel, with nothing of the boutique about it. For an unashamed dose of luxury in Atlanta’s most appealing area however, it is hard to beat.

Rooms

The hotel offers a choice of rooms and suites, all spacious and equipped with the latest technology. The higher categories have balconies while suites have room to sit and relax. All rooms include a private bathroom, TV and Wi-Fi connection, and are air conditioned.

Location

Atlanta is a city built for drivers, and high summer temperatures means downtown’s attractions are best reached in a taxi or Uber. While you would hesitate to call Buckhead a pedestrian’s delight, it is at least more conducive to walking and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within easy reach.

Food and drink

You can choose from formal English dining, contemporary American cuisine in a more relaxed environment or tasty snacks by the pool. The bar’s mixologists knock up a mean cocktail, while wine connoisseurs can find paired food and drink accompanied by piano music.
