Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Philadelphia. On arrival in Philadelphia make your own way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax.

Day 2 Philadelphia


The day is yours to explore Philadelphia - there is lots to see and do! You may wish to take a cruise along the Delaware River, visit Independence Historic National Park, Independence Hall or the Museum of Fine Art. Don't miss seeing the Liberty Bell or the Declaration of Independence document.

Day 3 Lancaster

Collect a hire car and head to Lancaster county today - watch out for Amish horse and buggy's that will be sharing the road with you! Keep an eye out for the many food stalls on the side of the road that sell Amish home made cakes and lemonade- make sure you try a Woopie Pie!

Day 4 Shenandoah National Park

Today your drive takes you through the heart of Pennsylvania's Amish country, past historic Harrisburg, to the great military town of Gettysburg. Be sure to visit the site of the bloody 1863 Civil War battle. Departing Gettysburg, your drive today takes you along spectacular Skyline Drive to beautiful Shenandoah National Park.

Day 5 Shenandoah National Park

Enjoy a full day in Shenandoah National Park. There are a number of walking trails of different difficulties which may appeal, likewise, a Park Ranger led tour of the local area is a great way to learn about the rich history and many species of wildlife which inhabit the park.

Day 6 Charlottesville

Depart Shenandoah National Park this morning and continue your route along Skyline Drive to Charlottesville. Upon arrival into Charlottesville, spend the day exploring the quaint town centre and many boutique shops and cafes which spill out onto the streets

Day 7 Charlottesville


Enjoy a day in Charlottesville. There are plenty of sights to visit nearby, including three former presidential homes; James Monroe's Ash-Lawn Highlands, Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, and James Madison's Montpelier.

Day 8 Williamsburg

Drive this morning from Charlottesville to colonial Williamsburg. Upon arrival the remainder of the day is free for you to acquaint yourself with this delightful historic city.

Spend the day exploring Williamsburg. The city has many superb parks and gardens that vividly bring colonial times to life. The city's grand 18th century architecture is a real highlight.

Day 10 St Michaels

Depart Williamsburg over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and head to the small hamlet of St. Michaels. Spend the afternoon exploring the delightful inlets and bays along Chesapeake Bay.

Day 11 Annapolis

It is a short drive this morning as you make your way to Washington D.C. The remainder of the day is free to explore the nation's capital city.
