Visit Okavango Delta, Botswana
The Okavango Delta is one of the world's truly unique wildlife areas. Water from the Okavango River spills into the Kalahari Desert and forms a labyrinth of waterways and palm-fringed islands. It is the only safari which you can do from a mokoro (a canoe made from the trunk of a tree).

Viewing elephant on a mokoro trip
Deep in the heart of Botswana you can find lagoons filled with lilies surrounded by long labyrinths of water ways, this is the Okavango Delta.
Wildlife of the Okavango Delta
The Delta is an incredible location for viewing Africa’s amazing wildlife, such as lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and the semi-aquatic red lechwe antelope. It covers over 15,000 square kilometers when the waters are at their highest and it is divided into a number of private concessions created to protect the unique wildlife of this area.
The Okavango Delta is home to over 250 birds including several rare species, making this a bird watchers paradise.
Mokoro trips
One of the highlights of the Delta is to sit back and relax as you are gently 'poled' through the mysterious reed banks in a traditional mokoro boat, passing kingfishes, crocodiles and other wildlife.
