The Datai is located on Langkawi, the largest island off the western coast of Malaysia.

The hotel is surrounded by ancient primary rainforest, rolling down to a spectacular beach with views of tiny tropical islands that are dotted around the bay.

The hotel is approximately 30 minutes from the airport, and 45 minutes from the main town, Kuah. Its relative isolation means immaculate beaches and unspoilt rainforest, brimming with wildlife.

The resort has been sympathetically built with its environment very much in mind, and it does a superb job of combining the luxury of a five star resort with its wild environs.

The décor of the rooms and hotel as whole mirror this, with contemporary Malay style that is understated and refined.
