Uma Paro

This exclusive property is located on a forested hilltop above Paro. The 20 rooms and nine villas are dotted around a 38 acre estate affording each guest peace and privacy. The interiors have been created by local artisans and combine traditional carved wooden windows and doors with modern amenities such as DVD players, spacious bathrooms, minibars and in-room yoga mats.

The Superior rooms are very comfortable and have views over the surrounding pine forest; Deluxe rooms offer a little more space and have views over the Paro Valley and some also have small balconies; the Suites offer living rooms and a panoramic view of the Valley below; their Villas offer more privacy and come with a private butler to ensure you have everything that you need during your stay.

The COMO Shambhala Retreat is possibly the best spa in Bhutan, offering healing therapies, yoga tuition and if you have time for just one treatment try a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath. The spacious dining area is warmed by a large Bhutanese Bukhari fireplace and a range of world cuisine is served here.
