Hosteria La Cienega

La Cienega is one of Ecuador’s oldest haciendas and contains more than 300 years of colonial history. It is perfectly located near the slopes of Cotopaxi Volcano and has been tastefully restored and converted into a hotel. The main, original building was built for the Marquis of Maenza in the 17th century and has remained in the family ever since.

The original chapel at the back of the hacienda has a beautifully carved wooden door and is set in the immaculately kept interior gardens. The restaurant provides good hearty food for the guests with a three-course menu of the day offered in the evening. Please note that when dinner is included in the room rate, you can pay the difference to eat off the à la carte menu should you wish too.
