Rajasthan’s only hill station, Mount Abu is situated in the wooded Aravalli Hills, 1,720 meters above sea level.

Popular with Indian honeymooners, the resort is spread around one side of Lake Nakki and the neighboring polo ground.

History and heritage

Mt Abu’s colonial past is obvious in the old British-style hospital, governor’s residence and church, while a more ancient history provided the exquisite Dilwara Jain Temples. The surrounding hills are perfect for a relaxing stroll and the former royal retreats are now lovely heritage hotels.
