Elephant Pepper Camp

Elephant Pepper is a lovely little bush camp set just outside the northern border of the Masai Mara National Reserve.

It has nine large airy tents which have recently been renovated. They are very comfortable each with en suite bathrooms with hot bucket showers and flush toilets and hammocks strung in trees outside each tent. There is a lovely honeymoon tent on the far end of the camp, enjoying 180 degree views of the plains, and where you can enjoy private dining if you choose.

The main dining and lounge area has a very relaxed atmosphere with a help-yourself bar and very friendly staff on hand to assist at any time. There is also a viewing platform overlooking a salt lick — great for enjoying some wildlife viewing whilst in the camp.

Elephant Pepper is a semi-permanent camp and only operates for nine months of the year. They are very focused on wildlife and the local environment and once the camp is packed away it leaves no trace of it ever having been there.

During the day they offer game drives, walks with excellent local guides to explore the far-flung plains and in the evenings the camp is lit by hurricane lamps and you can enjoy meals under the stars before toasting your toes by the campfire.
