Itinerary idea in detail

Private customized tour. Ask us about booking your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Upon arrival in Jackson, make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind or explore the town at your leisure.

  • This morning, your guide will pick you up early for your small-group sunrise tour in Grand Teton National Park. Your guide will provide you with hand warmers and a water bottle before you head out into the park. Spend two to three hours in the park, using the scope to watch herds of elk, lone coyotes and moose. If you're lucky, you may even spot wolves seeking out their prey, or a bald eagle perched on a tree branch overlooking Grand Teton's winter wonderland. When you return to Jackson, you will have the afternoon to enjoy the town and its surroundings. We recommend walking down to Jackson Hole Visitor Center and heading out on a sleigh ride to the National Elk Refuge to get up close and personal with these animals.

  • Leaving slightly later than the sunrise tour, you can enjoy a lie-in today before heading out on your snowshoe tour. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to a remote location to enjoy a small-group snowshoe excursion. The location of this depends on weather conditions and personal preference, but they are all located within the national forest or Grand Teton National Park. You will have another afternoon at leisure today, and you might enjoy wandering around the many boutique shops dotted around Jackson Square.

  • This morning will be an early start as your driver-guide picks you up from your hotel and takes you into Yellowstone National Park by shared transfer. You will arrive just in time to enter the park at sunrise, which makes for a magical experience as you watch Yellowstone wake up in the snow. Admire the magnificent winter scenery as you drive through the lower loop en route to Old Faithful Snow Lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have the rest of the day to enjoy Old Faithful's remote location. Head onto the snowshoe and cross-country ski trails or walk around the geyser basin boardwalk to discover the area's fascinating geothermal activity.

  • Today, you have a full-day small-group tour in Yellowstone National Park aboard a snowcoach with an experienced guide. View snow-covered forests, frozen waterfalls and steaming geysers from the comfort of the snowcoach. There will be plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the park on short walks, and there is ample time to enjoy watching wildlife throughout the day. You will see plenty of bison and stunning scenery, but you may also spot otters, bald eagles, wolves and coyotes.

  • Spend the day at leisure at the lodge. We recommend exploring the lodge's surrounding cross-country ski trails by snowshoe or enjoying a long walk around the Upper Geyser Basin area.

  • After breakfast, you will meet your snowcoach at the lodge and head north toward Mammoth Hot Springs. The journey takes approximately four hours, but there are plenty of stops along the way at well-known geysers, bubbling mud pots and lookout points. Upon arrival at Mammoth Hot Springs, relax in the bar with a hot chocolate.

  • Your private guide will pick you up before sunrise to head out into Yellowstone's most wildlife-rich area, the Lamar Valley. Spend the morning exploring this area with your naturalist guide spotting moose, coyotes, bighorn sheep, bison and even wolves. The guides on this tour focus on wolves, and you may have the opportunity to view them playing, feeding and interacting in their natural habitat. A breakfast of fresh fruit, oatmeal and snack bars is provided as you enjoy the wide-open scenery of the Lamar Valley.

  • Today, you will wave goodbye to Yellowstone National Park and take a coach transfer to Bozeman, through the picturesque Paradise Valley. Upon arrival at the airport, make your own way to your hotel before heading out to explore this trendy western town. Spend the afternoon visiting boutique shops and galleries, or even visit the Gallatin History Museum. Bozeman has emerged as a real foodie destination in the past few years, so there are plenty of options for first-class dining.

  • This morning, you will be picked up by your driver and taken to Lone Mountain Ranch. All meals and some activities are included here. Admire Big Sky country en route before arriving at the ranch's main outpost. You will check in and receive your itinerary for the next few days but also have the opportunity to book any extras like cross-country ski lessons or fly-fishing excursions. Spend the rest of your day soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying all the activities here. This evening, visit the saloon bar next door which has live music and is the best spot for a cozy nightcap.

  • Spend the day at leisure at the ranch. Get fitted for cross-country skis, snowshoes and poles and head out into the wilderness that surrounds the ranch to enjoy the incredible scenery of the Rockies during the winter months.

  • Day at leisure at the ranch. This evening, you will enjoy a sleigh-ride dinner. Order your wine at the restaurant before hopping into a horse-drawn sleigh under a blanket. You will journey to a remote candlelit cabin under a moonlit sky for a homemade three-course meal, served family style and accompanied by a local Western musician.

  • Today, you will leave the ranch by shared transfer and head back to Bozeman for your onward journey.
