Situated within a short walk of Victoria Conference Centre, the Inner Harbour, and Provincial Legislative buildings, The Parkside Hotel & Spa home is steeped in history and culture. The building blends in aesthetically with the surrounding neighbourhood’s Victorian style without feeling dated or old. The three-storey glass and green roof atrium, use of rock and stone in and around the building, interior and exterior water features help to bring the nature of Vancouver Island to the property.

This all-suite hotel has a sleek, modern feel to it while maintaining the nature and history of Victoria. With your own kitchen and additional living space, the hotel offers privacy and flexibility, with the facilities of a larger hotel, including a large swimming pool, hot tub, fitness centre, and delightful rooftop patio to watch the sunset.

While the hotel is suite only, the facilities provided make it feel like a fully-service hotel. It’s well located in the city and suitable for all types of traveller.

Rooms

Each of the residences is bright, modern, and spacious, including the standard amenities like Wi-Fi, a coffee maker and kettle, Bluetooth speaker, TV and luxury bath products. There is a full kitchenette with a fridge, stovetop, microwave, and washer/dryer unit. There is no air conditioning but there are fans and large windows for summer, and all have fireplaces for cooler moments. Step outside onto your own balcony with varying views to take in the fresh, coastal air.

Location

The Parkside Hotel is located on the outskirts of the main downtown hub of Victoria just two blocks from the Inner Harbour and a short walk to the many shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel has complimentary bikes to use to get around and the central bus terminal is just around the corner.

Food and drink

As each residence has its own kitchen, there is only a small on-site restaurant serving light bites made with fresh, locally source ingredients. However, the hotel provides other alternatives to cooking for yourself as you can have pizzas delivered to your room, or even set up a barbeque on the balcony. A wide variety of restaurants are within a short walk of the hotel as well.

Environmental and social responsibility

Parkside is a carbon neutral hotel that is Biosphere certified and part of ‘Beyond Green’, a collection of hotels offering sustainable travel options. You'll find bee hives on the rooftop garden, and all linen and used furniture is donated to Habitat for Humanity and Disaster Aid Canada. Parkside is also the exclusive Victoria hotel partner with the Songhees Nation. These are just some of the many practices in place to make the hotel more sustainable.
