Penang City Tour

In the morning, enjoy a comprehensive tour of George Town. Experience the sights and sounds of this quaint city and discover how a number of multi-cultured people can live harmoniously together.

Among the highlights of the tour is Fort Cornwallis, built on the site of Francis Light's historic landing in 1786, it today houses the Dutch Canon presented to the Sultan of Johore by the Dutch East India Company. You also visit Penang Museum, built in 1821, housing a fine collection of photos, maps and charts.

There is an opportunity to visit the Khoo Kongsi clan house and the Baba Nyonya Pinang Peranakan Mansion which offers a glimpse into the customs and traditions of these locally accultural Chinese.

Both Little India and Chinatown, with their spice and sari shops, temples and countless restaurants and food stalls are vibrant places to spend a little time exploring and perhaps have a snack lunch.

The last stop of the tour is the reclining Buddha at Wat Chayamangkalaram. This 33 metre gold plated statue is the third longest of its kind in the world.
