Tailor-made travel specialist Audley Travel has announced new destinations for 2021, both in Europe and the Caribbean, to meet demand from clients keen to travel again. Trips to Jamaica and The Bahamas as well as Cyprus are now available, all giving a perfect mix of time relaxing on the beach combined with typical Audley experiences and excursions that allow clients to get to know their chosen destination away from the typical tourist spots.

Jamaica

Audley’s recommended itinerary gives an introduction to Jamaica’s reggae-infused culture, beautiful beaches and spicy cuisine.

Clients spend four nights in Montego Bay with activities including an excursion to Saint Ann for a guided tour of a family-run farm. The hosts share insights into local produce and then invite guests to enjoy a seven-course plant-based lunch.

Four nights at Port Antonio in the wilds of the Blue Lagoon follow. Activities include floating along the Rio Grande on a traditional bamboo raft as an expert local guide explains the history and culture of the area. A day trip to Kingston includes a visit to the former home of Bob Marley, along with the historical village of Port Royal and the National Gallery. After the city the tour takes in the Blue Mountains and samples the world-renowned coffee produced here.

A nine-night two-centre tailor-made trip to Jamaica costs from £3,295 per person (based on two sharing). The price includes flights, transfers, accommodation on a B&B basis and excursions. 01993 838275 / www.audleytravel.com/jamaica.

The Bahamas

Audley recommends a two-centre itinerary, showcasing Nassau and its fine dining restaurants, luxurious hotels and rich history as well as relaxing on the beach on the small island of Eleuthera.

During the three night stay on Nassau, highlights include a culinary walking tour sampling dishes from local vendors, bakers and chefs such as cracked conch and baked rum cakes. The local guide shares their expertise on the island’s foods as well as giving local restaurant recommendations. Clients also enjoy a sailing trip to secluded Rose Island, an isolated sandbank surrounded by tropical coral reef where they enjoy a homemade Bahamian lunch and time to relax on the beach.

Audley’s recommendations for the five night stay on Eleuthera include exploring Harbour Island — a small island just off the main coastline with Pink Sands Beach a highlight. A visit to the pineapple plantations in Gregory Town, the pastel and whitewashed houses of Governors Harbour and the Glass Window Bridge and its views of the Atlantic and lights of Eleuthera are not to be missed.

A nine-night two-centre tailor-made trip to The Bahamas costs from £4,000 per person (based on two sharing). The price includes flights, transfers, accommodation on a B&B basis and excursions. 01993 838275 / www.audleytravel.com/bahamas.

Cyprus

Audley’s clients will spend two nights in the Troodos mountains, with activities including a bee and honey workshop and a village tour to a UNESCO-protected monastery. This is followed by five nights by the beach with an Artisan tour spending time with local craftspeople. Clients also enjoy tours of the archaeological site of Kourion and the wine region.

A seven-night trip costs from £2,630 per person (based on two sharing) and includes flights, transfers, accommodation on a B&B basis and excursions. 01993 838731 / www.audleytravel.com/cyprus.
