Hotel Mision is located in a high fertile river valley of apple orchards and vineyards surrounded by the Sierra Madre in the village of Cerocahui.
Previously, Cerocahui was a prosperous mining town, however, the focus now is on conservation and forestry. The town was named in honour of the impressive 300-year-old domed Jesuit Mission, which is opposite the hotel. There are 41 spacious rooms each with two double beds, attractive Mexican decor, with en suite bathroom and wood stove heating.
Hotel Mision has a lovely bar, gift shop and dining room. Meals are family style with a set menu, so please advise any meal requirements in advance. Guided horseback trail rides or scrambling walks can be arranged to the nearby waterfall, or you can hop on the sightseeing bus to the majestic Urique Canyon Overlook. There is a daily wine tour where you get a chance to sample the locally produced wine. Please note there is no internet access.
