Itinerary idea in detail

With international flights from a choice of airports including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Bozeman. On arrival in Bozeman, pick up your rental car and make your way to your hotel, where you can relax for the evening.

  • Today, depart Bozeman and make your way to Yellowstone National Park. You will pass magnificent scenery, and once you are in the park, keep a lookout for wildlife. Bison, elk and pronghorn antelope, in particular, are regularly seen in northern Yellowstone.

  • Take an excellent guided group tour of northern Yellowstone. Here, you'll get up close and personal with the wildlife and also be shown the many hidden gems of iconic scenery you won't find on the maps.

  • A day to explore the wonders of northern Yellowstone National Park. The Hayden and Lamar Valleys are home to the majority of the park's wildlife and visitors can expect to see bison, elk, deer, bears and even wolves here.

  • Departing south this afternoon, you'll wind your way through the heart of Yellowstone to the Old Faithful geyser.

  • Enjoy a full day exploring the highlights of Yellowstone National Park. The southern section is best for seeing the park's geothermal highlights, including the Old Faithful geyser, which shoots out water every 90 minutes or so. There are also spectacular lakes and waterfalls, boiling mud and hot springs that glow yellow, orange, green and blue.

  • Today you will leave Yellowstone National Park and travel south on the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway to Grand Teton National Park, passing the beautiful Lake Jackson and the mighty peaks of the Teton Mountains on the way.

  • Join a superb guided small group trip to Grand Teton National Park. These distinctive mountains offer spectacular scenery, including iridescent lakes and forested slopes. Your guide will explain wildlife sightings to you; these may include elk, pronghorn deer and black bears. After lunch, the tour continues on foot to allow you to get an even closer perspective.

  • Jackson has some lovely art galleries and excellent restaurants. For the more energetic, plenty of outdoor activities are available including walking, horse riding, fishing, kayaking and mountain biking. Don't miss a visit to the nearby National Elk Refuge where, in season, thousands of elk can be seen.

  • There's time this morning for some last-minute shopping and sightseeing before making your own way to the airport in time for your onward flight.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
