Want to know what it’s really like? Keep reading to hear firsthand experiences from Molly and Amr, two of our current placement students working in the Global Travel team:

What’s your job role?

Molly & Amr: Our roles as Global Travel Advisors is to support clients in creating personalised itineraries to a wide range of destinations. By using the knowledge we’ve gained during our time here at Audley, we help guide clients towards the destinations that best suit their preferences and interests.

What does a typical day look like?

Molly & Amr: No two days are the same, which is what makes it so exciting. A core part of our day involves speaking with potential clients via phone and email to uncover what they’re truly looking for in a trip — whether it’s a relaxing beach escape, a cultural deep dive, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We guide them through possible destinations that match their interests and preferences, helping them refine their ideas and get inspired.

Once a client is ready to take the next step, we will seamlessly connect them with the appropriate country specialist, who will work with them to design a tailor-made journey.

Alongside client interaction, we are also constantly building our own destination knowledge through structured training sessions and independent research, ensuring we're always ready to offer expert insights and recommendations.

What have you enjoyed the most about your time at Audley so far?

Amr: The knowledge that we are providing an excellent service and that our clients are very satisfied with what they are provided.

How would you describe the working and office environment?

Molly: The office environment is incredibly supportive, which has made a huge difference during my placement. Everyone is extremely approachable and always happy to offer help, creating a space where you feel comfortable learning and asking questions. Additionally, being surrounded by people who all share the same passion for travel makes the office enjoyable and motivating.

Amr: Fun, cooperative, supportive.

Why should someone do their work placement at Audley Travel?

Molly: Prospective applicants should choose a placement at Audley because the work culture is genuinely amazing. You're part of a welcoming and very supportive team, the environment is both professional and fun.
