Dani

Canada Specialist

I’ve been fortunate to travel from a young age, experiencing destinations with my family in an authentic, immersive way that shaped my love of exploring the world. After studying classical civilization, I continued traveling, but a life-changing adventure across the USA inspired me to turn that passion into a career.

I joined Audley in 2017 as a USA specialist and expanded into Canada in 2021. Extensive travel through both countries has given me a deep understanding of their landscapes, cultures, and hidden corners. Canada, especially, blows me away with its dramatic scenery, remarkable wildlife, and the sense of freedom found in such vast, beautiful spaces.

Today, I pour that passion and knowledge into every itinerary I create, and I truly love hearing about the lifelong memories my clients make in these extraordinary destinations.

Q&A with Dani

Great Bear Rainforest (klemtu), Canada

What’s your most vivid travel moment?

I’ll never forget spending three days in Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest. Reaching the remote floating lodge by seaplane felt like entering another world. Each morning, mist drifted over the surrounding mountains, but the real magic was the wildlife right outside the lodge. I watched grizzlies feed along the shoreline, saw a mother with two cubs, and even witnessed mating behavior. Those intimate, quiet encounters made the experience unforgettable.

Elephant in the Okavango Delta

Where would you love to travel next?

Seeing wildlife is always the highlight of my travels, so going on safari would be a dream. Botswana sits at the top of the list — searching for elephants, lions and leopards in the wilderness of Chobe National Park. I also adore hiking, so for something closer to home, summer in Switzerland or the Italian Dolomites is firmly on my radar. Both offer spectacular trails and the kind of mountain scenery that makes me feel completely alive.

What tips would you give for people who want to visit Canada?

My biggest tip for making the most of Western Canada, in particular, is to soak up the magic of dawn and dusk. Set your alarm early, or stay out late, and I guarantee you'll see Canada at it’s most special. Whether that’s watching bears foraging for berries whilst it’s not too hot, seeing the mountains turn pink during sunrise and sunset, or simply getting to enjoy the most stunning locations before all the crowds arrive.
