With over a decade of firsthand travel experience, I’ve been fortunate to visit 57 countries (and counting!) My background includes working on board two major cruise lines, giving me unique insight into life at sea and the incredible destinations cruises explore.
From Asia to the Baltics, Hawaii to the Middle East, the USA, and even Australia, I’ve experienced a world of sights, sounds, and cultures. But my heart truly belongs to the Caribbean. Recently, I visited 49 of our stunning resorts across eight islands, each with its own personality and charm.
Whether it’s basking on sun-soaked beaches, hiking lush jungle trails, or immersing myself in local culture, cuisine, and island vibes, the Caribbean always leaves me feeling relaxed, inspired, and wanting more.
Q&A with Chris
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
I’m someone who truly values peace and tranquility, and for me, nothing compares to relaxing in my private infinity pool at Jade Mountain in St Lucia. Watching the sun set beside the majestic World Heritage Pitons, with an unobstructed view, was a uniquely breathtaking experience. It felt like nature’s masterpiece unfolding right before my eyes. A breathtaking moment that will stay with me forever.
Your best piece of travel advice?
My best piece of travel advice is to immerse yourself in the local culture as much as possible. This could be as simple as starting an inspiring conversation with a resort staff member or venturing into a nearby village to try authentic local cuisine. Taking the time to understand and absorb the local culture will transform your trip into a truly memorable experience.
What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?
The best I’ve ever tasted was at the Cliff Restaurant at Cap Maison in St. Lucia. It was their Seafood Linguini with aged Grana Padano cream — simply delicious. The dish featured fresh, farm-to-table seafood and delivered an explosion of flavors in every single bite. Each mouthful was a treat: fresh, comforting, and authentically local. For seafood lovers, I highly recommend it!
