Things to do in the Falkland Islands

Wild and rugged, the isolated Falkland Islands have a unique character and a surprising number of things to do. One of the main reasons to visit is the outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities. Home to five species of penguin and large numbers of seals, albatross and whales, you can visit the world's largest accessible king penguin colony on a day trip to Volunteer Point or see gentoo and Magellanic penguin, elephant seals and dolphins on picturesque Carcass Island.

A trip to Pebble Island reveals a more poignant side to the islands and provides an insight into the 1982 conflict, including a memorial to those who died aboard HMS Coventry.
