Taal is known as a heritage area because of its numerous ancestral homes, which date back to the Spanish and American periods in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Spend a day at Pagsanjan Falls
Spend a day at Pagsanjan Falls, The Philippines
The town of Pagsanjan, site of the famous Pagsanjan Falls, is approximately a two hour drive east of Tagaytay through typical native scenery.
On arrival, you will board a dug-out canoe, manned by two able boatmen for an upstream ride to the falls through rocks and boulders amidst steep gorges and tropical vegetation. You can spend some time at the falls, which is where Apocalypse Now was filmed. There is the option to take a bamboo raft ride to experience the pounding of water coming from 21 meters above. Your return trip is another exciting experience as you 'shoot the rapids' - going downstream with your boatmen skilfully maneuvering the canoe between rocks and boulders until you reach the calm river at Pagsanjan.
A buffet lunch is included for today, or you can have lunch in Tagaytay beforehand.
