Chilcabamba Lodge

Chilcabamba Lodge offers simple but cozy accommodation in a stunning setting just minutes away from Cotopaxi National Park. The lodge provides excellent opportunities for active visitors to explore and enjoy the beautiful scenery on foot, by bike, or on horseback, before returning for delicious home-cooked food. If you still have room after dinner there's an outdoor fire pit where guests are welcome to make s'mores.

The generously sized rooms are comfortable and equipped with modern woodburning stoves, ponchos, and thick duvets to keep you warm at night. Some of the rooms have terraces which look out onto the volcanoes of Cotopaxi and Rumiñahui.

Since opening, the lodge has embarked down a continuous path of learning and becoming more sustainable. Along the way they've taken measures such as growing native flora in the gardens, composting organic waste, offering reusable water bottles to guests, as well as working with and giving back to the local communities of Cotopaxi.

One of the available activities at this property is horse riding. If you chose to do this, please bear in mind some key safety considerations.
