Ponta Mamoli is at the southern tip of Mozambique, around 100 km south of the capital Maputo and 25 km north of the border into South Africa.

Reached by 4x4 or helicopter it is a wilderness area with long sandy beaches backed by bush and to the west, the Maputo Special Reserve. The bay is relatively sheltered and offshore reefs offer excellent and unspoilt diving and snorkeling.
