Palace Downtown offers modern Middle Eastern opulence with a location that’s just steps from the city’s main attractions. It’s also close to many of the city’s most prestigious restaurants, and offers a handful of its own excellent restaurants and lounges that take advantage of the views. You can cool off in the palm-fringed pool or at the city’s renowned gold-sand beaches, which are just a short taxi ride away.
The crenulated stone walls that wrap around the hotel offer a hint of the Palace’s regal character. Inside, the modern decor is leavened with touches that recall Dubai’s culture, including traditional wooden lattices, arabesque arched doorways and the scent of oud in the lobby. The spacious rooms and suites, which boast the same styling, all have private balconies that overlook the lake, the fountain or the Burj Khalifa.
We love this hotel for its combination of elegant opulence and a central location that provides exceptional views from every room. This is a great base for an indulgent break to enjoy shopping in the Dubai Mall and other Downtown sights.

Rooms
The hotel’s modern, Middle Eastern styling is very apparent in the 242 well-appointed rooms, including 81 opulent suites. Cool, sandy neutrals offer a soothing background for the intricate patterns, rich textures and dark-wood furniture. Details like pierced screens, sumptuous rugs and chased silver tea trays reflect the most elegant aspects of the local culture.
There are many different categories, but they all offer large en suites and private balconies that overlook The Dubai Fountain or Burj Khalifa Lake. Even the smallest rooms are generously sized and the suites are positively palatial, some boasting room for parties of up to nine and separate living and sleeping quarters.
