Day 1 Diu
Arrive into India and connect through to your onwards flight to Diu. On arrival you'll be taken straight to your hotel. If there's time, you can take a walk along the beach which tends to be quite busy with locals enjoying picnics and games on the sand.
Day 2 Sasan Gir National Park

After a leisurely breakfast you will discover the delights of old Diu Town including the Portuguese Fort built in 1535, the baroque St Paul's Church and the market square. Afterwards you will drive to Gir, which should take around three to four hours.
Day 3 Sasan Gir National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon private game drives, keeping an eye out for the Asiatic lion. Sasan Gir is the last remaining national park that contains Asiatic Lion. The population is well protected and flourishing so there's a good chance to spotting one.
Day 4 Sasan Gir National Park
Day 5 Velavadar National Park

Continue your journey to Velavadar National Park, stopping en route at Palitana to see the temples there. This journey will take approximately five hours. On arrival you will check in to Black Buck Lodge, in Velavandar National Park. The park is a varied landscape of grasslands, shrub lands, saline plains and mud flats.
Day 6 Velavadar National Park

Go out on morning and afternoon private game drives and keep your eyes peeled for blackbuck, wolves and hyenas. In-between safaris you will have time to rest and relax at the lodge.
Day 7 Bajana

Your journey today will take you to Dasada via Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, where you can hope to see flamingos and pelicans. Take a walk round the lakes with an experienced naturalist.
Day 8 Bajana
Enjoy morning and afternoon private game drives to try and track down the wild Asiatic ass. You will be driving round Little Rann of Kutch, a one of the largest salt marshes in the world.
Day 9 Ahmedabad
Dasada , Ahmedabad
From Dasada you will make your way to Ahmedabad, stopping en route at Patan to see one of the best preserved stepwells in India, and the intricate Modhera Sun Temple. On arrival into Ahmedabad and after checking into your hotel you have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You might like to try the spa or pool at your hotel.
