Spending a night on board the Milford Mariner is by far the best way to experience the splendor of the majestic Fiordland scenery.
Arriving just as the busy day-trip schedule draws to a close, you are treated to a much more serene experience.
The boat will visit hanging valleys, dramatic waterfalls, penguin and seal haunts, and you can sit back and enjoy the scenery whilst watching out for dolphins and orca. The onboard naturalist will give those that are interested a running commentary and when the conditions allow the sails will be unfurled for gentle motor-sailing.
After cruising the Sound and taking in the views of Mitre Peak and, weather permitting, the Tasman Sea, the Mariner anchors in sheltered Harrison Cove for the night. A delicious three course dinner is served, and the bar is well-stocked with New Zealand wines for you to enjoy as the sun goes down.
The private cabins are twin or double and are all en suite, with the vessel also offering a spacious viewing deck, dining saloon and observation lounge.
