Spending a night on board the Milford Mariner is by far the best way to experience the splendour of the majestic Fiordland scenery.
Arriving just as the busy day-trip schedule draws to a close, you are treated to a much more serene experience.
The boat will visit hanging valleys, dramatic waterfalls, penguin and seal haunts, and you can sit back and enjoy the scenery whilst watching out for dolphins and orca. The onboard naturalist will give those that are interested a running commentary and when the conditions allow the sails will be unfurled for gentle motor-sailing.
After cruising the Sound and taking in the views of Mitre Peak and, weather permitting, the Tasman Sea, the Mariner anchors in sheltered Harrison Cove for the night. A delicious three-course dinner is served, and the bar is well-stocked with New Zealand wines for you to enjoy as the sun goes down.
The private cabins are twin or double and are all en suite, with the vessel also offering a spacious viewing deck, dining saloon and observation lounge.

You will be flown down to Milford Sound in a twin-engine aircraft, from which you can enjoy the majestic views of the Southern Alps, Lake Wakatipu, Mitre Peak and the sounds.
Milford Track day walk
This small group excursion gives you a taste of the majestic scenery of the Milford Track without having to dedicate five days to complete the whole trail. Your lunch is included, and complimentary tea and coffee are available at the start and end of the walk.
Walk the Hollyford Track
This easy-paced three day valley walk encompasses crystal clear rivers, mirror-like lakes, waterfalls, reefs, sand dunes and surf, against the backdrop of the soaring, snow-capped Darran Mountains.
