The Vineyard is set amidst pretty gardens on the lower slopes of Table Mountain near the suburb of Newlands. The hotel has long been a favorite for British travelers thanks to its understated charm, simplicity and fantastic views. A tall, airy atrium houses the main restaurant, whilst the lounge opens out onto the terrace overlooking the gardens and the stream wending through the bottom of the property.
The pool area is newly developed, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, health club and café, in a remarkable glass-fronted building. The rooms themselves show African touches in the cherrywood furniture and traditional artwork, and have been finished in a modern and comfortable style. Displays throughout the hotel tell the history of the building and the area, adding an extra dimension to your stay here.
