Located in an unspoilt, wild part of the north-central Kafue, Musekese is a charming bush camp offering access to a truly beautiful part of the park. Owner-managers Phil and Tyrone know the Kafue inside out and make excellent hosts and guides for your safari. There are just four safari tents here, so the atmosphere is intimate and service levels are high. Each tent is compact and comfortable, with twin beds, an open-air en suite bathroom with bucket shower and flush loo, and safari chairs to the front. You'll find thoughtful touches everywhere; mosquito repellent, bottled water and even a hip flask with a tot of whisky for a final nightcap.
There is a lovely lounge with sofas and a dining table under a thatch roof, open sided to enjoy views over the dambo and river beyond. There is a hide across the river, ideal for keen photographers and birders and a great spot to spend a few hours between lunch and your afternoon safari. In the evenings, guests gather around the campfire with a cool drink to share tales of the day's adventures.
Activities at Musekese are focussed on walking safaris and boat safaris, the ideal way to explore this remote region. The camp has a camera trap, too, where you can see the wildlife you've heard overnight down at the dambo.
