The hotel is set in a sprawling 18th-century palace steeped in history. As you wander the elegant ballrooms and tapestry-lined corridors you’ll feel like you are stepping back in time. Outside, you’ll find formal gardens complete with a tennis court and historic box maze as well as a large outdoor pool and terrace perfect for soaking up the atmosphere. The stylish Anantara Seteais Spa located within the grounds is a particular highlight.
Each of the 30 guest rooms is sumptuously decorated in a classical style with rich furnishings and period pieces. All feature high ceilings and large windows and offer views either of the pool and gardens or of the mountainside and Pena Palace. An extravagant buffet breakfast is served each morning in a grand frescoed dining room.

We find the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais to be an ideal retreat for anyone looking for a romantic or relaxing base from which to soak up the majesty of Sintra.

The 30 spacious guest rooms make the most of their generous proportions with high ceilings and large windows adding to the grandeur of the furnishings. The decor is classical in style with rich fabrics, antique and reproduction furniture, and gilded frames on the artwork. Due to the historic nature of the property, the size and layout can vary from room to room but original details have been retained wherever possible and some rooms boast original features such as traditional frescoes. Windows look out over the pool and gardens or the mountainside and Pena Palace, while the bathrooms maintain the classical style of decor with some featuring large, claw-footed bathtubs. All rooms offer air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Location
The Tivoli Palácio de Seteais occupies a commanding position on the lush, green mountainside of Sintra and offers views of the valley below and up to the romantic Pena Palace. The extravagant Palacio Quinta da Regaleira with its magical gardens is easily accessed on foot in around five minutes, while the heart of Sintra is just a five-minute taxi ride away.

Breakfast is served each morning in a grand frescoed dining room and is an extravagant buffet affair.
