The Last Word is a fantastic boutique hotel in the world renowned winelands of Franschhoek. The hotel is luxurious, private and creates the perfect retreat for discerning travelers who enjoy a little luxury.

Inside, the property is elegant and contemporary in style, with plenty of natural light filtering into each room and tasteful, good quality furnishings throughout. The hotel grounds are glorious and very well maintained, with verdant gardens and common areas.

The Last Word is an exceptional boutique hotel which really goes beyond the call of duty to ensure that guests have a memorable time. Spacious public areas, state-of-the-art rooms and great service all contribute to an unforgettable stay. This hotel is definitely an Audley favorite!

Rooms

There are just a handful of luxurious rooms, consisting of Superior Double rooms and Pool Suites. Each has a light, French inspired décor and a spacious, modern layout with plenty of comfortable seating. Superior Double rooms offer 45 square meters of living space, including a large en suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, as well as a private patio garden. Pool Suites have a private pool, courtyard and lounge area, spanning 70 square meters overall. Both room types have a complimentary minibar which contains wines, premium spirits, soft drinks and snacks.

Location

Whilst the hotel is located within the town of Franschhoek, it's well tucked away from the hustle and bustle. However, it's still easy to access art galleries, excellent restaurants and world-class wineries. The hotel is the perfect base for wine lovers who want to soak up the beauty of this lovely town and enjoy a central, yet tranquil and refined hotel.

Food and drink

The Last Word offers guests a lovely breakfast and complimentary minibar snacks. Although there's no further dining on site, the hotel is located close to some of the best restaurants and wineries within South Africa. Guests can also unwind with a drink in the hotel's bar.

Families

The hotel can accommodate families with children aged three years and over. Families can only be accommodated in Pool Suites and children over the age of 12 will be accounted for as adults.

Honeymooners

The hotel has an intimate feel that's ideal for honeymooners or those who are celebrating an anniversary or special occasion. The property is truly luxurious and has a romantic setting to match.

Facilities and activities

The hotel has a lovely solar-heated outdoor pool and sun loungers which can be enjoyed after a day of wine tasting, making the perfect spot to soak up the African sun. Complimentary Wi-Fi can be accessed throughout the property, and personalized travel guide services are available to give guests expert advice and recommendations on the local area, including its wineries. Spa treatments and picnics can also be arranged and a laundry service is offered.
