Tingri is little more than a few houses lining the road.
The accommodation here is basic but the views and location more than make up for that. You may well be lucky enough to see Everest and Cho Oyu from your guesthouse.
Situated at an altitude of 4,390 meters, this is the highest place you will spend a night on your trip. It often gets cold in the evenings, but the magical atmosphere of being on the roof of the world is unbelievable.
