Hotel del Coronado

Hotel del Coronado

San Diego, The US

Dating back to 1888, Hotel del Coronado's impressive wooden façade and signature red roof turrets give it an iconic presence on Coronado Beach Island.

This grand property preserves elegance throughout with tasteful modern touches of the southern Californian coastal lifestyle. Set within landscaped gardens, guests can enjoy an extensive range of recreational activities or relax on the white sands of the hotel’s secluded beach.

We think this hotel is a good choice for those wanting to combine a beach vacation with an exploration of San Diego. Despite its aging imperfections, Del retains its original charm and luxurious elegance, upholding its reputation for being one of the most beautiful, historic hotels and beach resorts in the southwest US.

The hotel is spread over seven floors and offers hundreds of rooms, ranging from rooms and suites to junior suites and beach village units. Due to the vast size and age of the property, the layout, size and decor of rooms varies throughout. The property is split into three sections, the old Victorian main building where traditional rooms are smaller in size in contrast to those in the Ocean Towers and California Cabanas which are more spacious and modern. We recommend that you request an ocean view when booking.

Coronado’s coastline offers fantastic surfing and ocean views making this a good choice for those seeking both recreational activities and relaxation.

Just a short drive across the Bay Bridge from downtown San Diego, guests can also visit the nearby attractions such as Balboa Park, the zoo or trendy Gaslamp Quarter.
