Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Arrive in Lusaka and connect onto a light aircraft flight to Mfuwe. Upon arrival in Mfuwe, transfer through the South Luangwa Park to your Luangwa River Lodge, situated under a picturesque ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River.

  • A full day of game viewing in the South Luangwa. You can choose between game drives and walking safaris during the day and night drives after sunset. With a maximum of ten guests, the guiding team can deliver a personalised experience.

  • A full-day game viewing from your camp. We highly recommend taking a night drive as it gives you a fantastic chance of seeing lions and leopards.

  • If you prefer a break from the safari, a trip to a local village can be arranged, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about local living and even sample a customary meal.

  • After your morning safari, you will be driven to your next camp in the more remote Nsefu sector of the South Luangwa National Park. Tena Tena Camp is situated between the Luangwa River and an intricate lagoon system under a magnificent mahogany grove.

  • Walks and game drives are once again available. There is only one other permanent camp in this remote corner of the park; you will feel a sense of seclusion and exclusivity as you're out in search of wildlife.

  • Full day's game viewing from Tena Tena. This section of South Luangwa National Park is remarkably open and flat, making this camp perfect for walking safaris.

  • After your morning safari, you will be driven upriver to your final camp, Kaingo. Each chalet features a private veranda, an ideal spot for enjoying some downtime after settling in to camp.

  • Guests at Kaingo have access to a small network of hides, uniquely positioned to take in views of different species, from carmine bee-eaters to elephants. We highly recommend spending time in one or several of them during your stay.

  • Kaingo is renowned as an excellent camp for serious photographers. Additional equipment, such as stabilisers and dust covers, can be taken on game drives by guests, helping to ensure that you get the perfect shot.

  • Transfer back to Mfuwe Airport for your flight to Lusaka, where you will meet your onward flight.
