I grew up in the UK reading stories and myths from all over the world, and caught the travel bug at the age of 16 on a trip to Florence, Italy. I graduated from art school and spent ten years working in the family business before returning to university to study Social Anthropology in London.
I then worked in the Civil Service for nine years before my love of travel triumphed and I embarked upon a year-long round the world adventure, spending six months living and traveling throughout New Zealand. Upon returning I was delighted to see that there was a vacancy for a country specialist at Audley. After five years working in the Middle East team, I have now moved to the New Zealand department and completed a month's research trip all over New Zealand to find the best experiences for my clients.
When I'm not working or traveling, I enjoy walking and creating artefacts from recycled objects.

I'll never forget when…
Snorkeling in the Red Sea has to be one of my best memories of my time in Egypt. Many of the hotels have 'house reefs' which literally start where the beach ends. I hired a mask, fins and snorkel for a few pounds and as soon as I entered the water, the brilliance of the diverse corals looked like an underwater garden; not visited by butterflies but by shoals of fish in every form and color.
