RAAS Chhatrasagar

Set in 1,400 acres of farmland, this is an extraordinarily tranquil spot, overlooking a lake with fantastic birdlife (although this is seasonal) and surrounded by grassland. Rooms are comfortable and tent-inspired with 16 on the dam and four on the hill, all have en suite bathrooms and front verandas that overlook the lake, and are in a perfect position to watch the sunrise. RAAS Chhatrasagar is almost completely self-sustaining, and its home-grown, home-cooked food is not to be missed — it is some of the best in Rajasthan.

The sunset hill walk that provides stunning views of the surrounding vista can be enjoyed with a complimentary drink from the hilltop bar. You can simply relax and enjoy the birdlife and uninterrupted views, with virtually no habitation in sight, a rarity in India.
