Dera — a type of Indian ancestral home — has been in the Rawatsar family for generations. Here, the rooms blend traditional style with modern conveniences, and a small courtyard, swimming pool and garden area provide tranquil settings in which to unwind after a day exploring the Pink City.
The family have collected a number of antiques over the years which are on display for guests to admire, while locally-produced, colorful textiles have been used to decorate the property, giving it a homely and authentic feel.
The hotel offers a small selection of rooms, sorted into Deluxe or Super Deluxe categories. All are large and air-conditioned with ornate bathrooms, TVs and internet access. Featuring Art Deco furniture, each room has its own individual style and character.
Dera Rawatsar is located in a residential area in the heart of Jaipur. A pleasant place to wander around and take in daily life, there are a number of good restaurants and local markets within walking distance.
Traditional, home-cooked Indian fare is served in the hotel’s small restaurant. Dine outside in the pretty courtyard surrounded by flickering candles and swirling incense for a memorable experience.
Family rooms are available at Dera Rawatsar, as are a limited selection of entertainment options such as board games and puppet shows.
Guests can make use of Dera Rawatsar's swimming pool, which is surrounded by shady trees. The hotel also offers laundry and massage services as well as an on call doctor.
