Malabar House
Malabar House, Cochin, India
On the picturesque island of Fort Cochin an 18th century colonial house has been converted into a characterful hotel by its European owners. The rooms are located around a small leafy courtyard where there is also a plunge pool to cool off in.
All rooms are individually decorated in bright, contemporary colors with heavy wood furniture and unusual sculptures and other interesting pieces of art. The restaurant area in the courtyard serves Indian and Continental dishes as well as particularly good seafood.
