Photos of Be Tulum
This hotel is a little more secluded than most and is a really lovely, beautifully designed beachfront option in Tulum. The hotel does gear itself more toward young couples and feels very modern but we really like the rooms here and the beach is simply stunning.
There are 64 suites scattered among the gently swaying palm trees, including some right on the beach. With a range of 13 suite styles to choose from, it’s easy for every guest to find their perfect accommodation. Private pools, solariums, balconies, and exquisite copper tubs are all available.
The decor is fresh and funky, and all suites have a private balcony or terrace, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, iPod dock, mini fridge and in-room safe. Interiors are rustic, yet luxurious with furniture made from reclaimed wood, cowhide rugs and comfy leather chairs.
Beautifully situated between the verdant forest, pristine white sand and the crystal clear Caribbean Sea, Be Tulum is a chic, relaxing hideaway located on the Yucatán Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo, southeastern México, on the northern border of the biosphere reserve of Sian Ka’an. The hotel is an hour and twenty minutes’ drive from Cancun International Airport. Two minutes on foot or by bike will take you to roadside bars, restaurants, food trucks and shops.
Food and drink
There are plenty of unique culinary experiences on offer at Be Tulum. Maresias, the raw "sea bar", features classic tiraditos, traditional and innovative ceviche. Elsewhere, Ocumare created by Michelin-starred chef, Mauricio Giovanini, showcases small plates inspired by Indian, Moroccan, Argentinian, and Spanish cuisine, while 4 Fuegos is a grill restaurant serving up some of the best fish tacos. The impressive live music roster features genres ranging from flamenco to deep house, and the beach bar serves ice-cold cocktails during the day.
Children aged 13 and above are allowed during low season, but it's adults-only (21 and above) in high season (December and January).
Facilities and activities
Relax by the stunning infinity pool or on the cozy beds and loungers sprinkled along the beach. The jungle side of the property is home to the Yäan Wellness Energy Spa, which features a sauna, steam room and freshwater pools. There are daily yoga sessions at the treetop studio overlooking the jungle canopy, and twice-weekly meditation classes. You can also borrow a bicycle to explore the local area, which offers activities including snorkeling, diving and horse riding.
