As one of the oldest hotels in Chichén Itzá, Hacienda Chichén has been a focus of activity in the Yucatán since the Spaniards founded it in 1523.
Now this historical site has been turned into a simple but charming, characterful hotel and resort where guests are just steps from the Chichén Itzá ruins. It is surrounded by acres and acres of subtropical forest and is home to over 150 known species of birds.
It has 30 individually styled rooms that are set among the gardens as historical cottages, simply but comfortably decorated. There is also a pool and restaurant but no room service offered here.
