Mukwa River Lodge has two island suites, four river-facing suites, and one family river suite, all of which have views of the Zambezi, private plunge pools, decks with sun loungers, and outside showers or baths. All suites are equipped with a fully stocked minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.

Location

The lodge is a 15-minute drive from Livingstone and 20 minutes from Victoria Falls, making it convenient to reach the main attractions, but it's tucked away location downriver makes it feel like a secluded oasis.

Food and drink

Dining is an elevated experience at Mukwa River Lodge. Menus are meticulously designed to create a meal you won't forget while also telling the story of the Zambezi and the local Zambian people. Herbs, vegetables, and fruits all come from the lodge's garden or from the local market. They aim to make everything, from bread to ice cream, in-house to ensure unbeatable freshness.

Facilities and activities

When you aren't out and about, you can take a refreshing dip in the communal outdoor pool or warm up in the heated swimming pool. For a touch of wellness, there’s a gym and spa. The bar and lounge area is the perfect spot to wind down.

The lodge offers a range of activities, giving you plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife. These include birding, wildlife drives, cooking classes, and fishing, as well as boat trips. Other activities, including helicopter flights, can be arranged at an additional cost.
