FRANQ

Antwerp, Belgium

Housed in a neoclassical building, FRANQ offers a chic and convenient place to stay near Antwerp’s historic district. The hotel’s location on a quiet side street ensures a more private and relaxing stay away from the noise.

The hotel is named for the building’s past as a bank; Belgium once used the Belgian Franc as currency. Original design elements are also in evidence throughout the building in details like marble floors, columns and stairwells. Overall, FRANQ gives off a sophisticated urban-chic feel; its lobby seating areas mix deep teal couches with soft coral armchairs and leopard print ottomans.

There are 42 rooms and suites in a variety of sizes, including multiple options for families or groups. They’re all decorated with clean lines and pops of orange and blue in pillows and armchairs.

The hotel also boasts a fine-dining restaurant that has a simple but stylish feel with teal banquettes and tan leather chairs, an outdoor courtyard and a well-equipped gym.

OUR OPINION:

We recommend FRANQ for its convenient location, characterful design and personal service.
