My wife and I will be visiting our son in Arusha, Tanzania in February. We are thinking of going somewhere first. We are looking for somewhere where we can snorkel off the beach. The beach should, perhaps be on the African coast and we would be their for about a week. We traveled with Audley to Mexico earlier in the year.

The best bet if you are looking for a place where you can snorkel off the beach would be to look at heading over to Zanzibar. It is very easy to get to Zanzibar from either Arusha or Dar es Salaam and the island is definitely worth a visit, not only are the beaches beautiful and the snorkeling amazing but the island itself offers quite a few different excursions which offer a fascinating insight into the history and culture of the Island.
