Built exclusively for British guests of the Maharaja of Mysore in the 1920s, the Royal Orchid Metropole still retains much of its colonial character and charm, with arches, pillars and ornately decorated corridors found throughout the property.
Guest rooms are tastefully decorated in subdued tones and furnished with dark wood furniture and silks, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere, and there are plenty of spots around the property in which to relax after a busy day of exploring.
An attractive heritage hotel, this is our favorite choice of accommodation in Mysore.
