Zip-lining & mountain biking experience

Spend a day breathing in the scenery and crisp air of fjordland while getting your adrenaline pumping on this two-part adventure near Flåm. Both varied and active, this privately guided tour allows you to explore the Flåm area from different perspectives. You’ll take a scenic train ride through the mountains from Flåm to the village of Myrdal, known as the Roof of Norway, before enjoying an invigorating zip-line above the lush valley floor. Then, you’ll descend the forest valley by mountain bike as you head back to Flåm and Aurlandsfjord.

Throughout the tour, which will take up a whole morning or afternoon, your guide will tell you more about this region of Norway with its remote mountain villages and gushing waterfalls.

Your private guide will meet you in Flåm and you’ll head to the train station for the scenic journey to Myrdal, known as the Roof of Norway. This tiny village has almost nothing to it except the railway station and a few bright red and yellow houses, but it’s an important mountain-top junction whose train lines lead down to Sognefjord as well as Bergen and Oslo.

Myrdal is also home to the longest zip-line in Scandinavia, which spans over 1,380 m (4,500 ft). Take the opportunity to whizz through the air high above the green valley floor, which is dotted with waterfalls. At the bottom, in Kårdalen, you’ll collect your mountain bike and descend further down into the forested valley, taking in views of the surrounding peaks and nearby waterfalls as you head back to Flåm and Aurlandsfjord.

You’ll arrive back into Flåm around five hours after leaving. We recommend bringing water and some snacks, plenty of warm layers and a waterproof jacket with you. You’ll also need to wear suitable footwear for biking.
