Leopard Mountain Game Lodge

This award-winning game lodge is located high up in the wild secluded hills of the 230-square-kilometer Zululand Rhino Reserve, a Big Five game reserve with spectacular views overlooking a vast stretch of unspoilt bushland and riverine forests, from the Umsunduze River meandering below to the distant Lebombo Mountains.

Each of the stone chalets has mosquito nets over the beds, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and an en suite bathroom, as well as a private balcony with hammock and a plunge pool. At lunch, you receive a picnic basket with a light lunch that you can either have in the main building or enjoy in the privacy of your own chalet whilst taking in the incredible views.

Activities include game drives and walks on the Zululand Rhino Reserve, or visits to the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, which is 50 kilometers away. You can also enjoy a visit to a traditional Zulu village, learning about their culture and watching a traditional dance. Leopard Mountain Lodge has been recently awarded diamond status for its extensive list of excellent wines, which are on offer at a very reasonable price.
